Missions Philosophy

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” - Acts 1:8

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matt 28:19-20

These two verses are what give Heritage Baptist Church the desire to follow our call to reach people for the Gospel. We believe that it is the responsibility of every Christian to go out into their Neighborhood, Nation, and World to share the Gospel.

Neighborhood to Nations - N2N

Our desire is to share the good news of the rescue of Jesus Christ wherever we may find ourselves. We want to take our ordinary, everyday lives and use it to share His rescue. Whether that is at work, home or internationally we make it our mission to share the hope we have in Jesus.

Kids Beach Club

Starting Back in the Spring 2022

Kids Beach Club is ministry centered and rooted on getting Jesus back into the hearts and minds of children in the place where they learn. In this ministry we seek to lead children for 12 weeks a year through the Gospel by teaching them key Bible stories that are enforced by character words.

We have had the amazing opportunity in the past to bring this ministry to Kingsfield Elementary. Seeing 50+ children join us after school once a week to worship God and learn more about Him has been life changing.

Greater Things Missions

Greater Things Missions is a ministry of Heritage that seeks to make God known in greater ways and in greater numbers throughout our city.  Through various service projects including yard work, homeless ministry, and gospel presentation, we seek to show the Pensacola area that we serve the God who cares about each and every person.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and Greater Things than these will he do…” – John 14:12

Foster Care Ministry

Foster Care Ministry

We have the privilege of serving many foster families in the area.  Foster Parents serve a great purpose in showing the love of Christ.  Because this opportunity can literally come at all hours of the day we want to help these parents be prepared and equipped to minister.   Here are a few ways you can help us.

Foster Support

  1. Help provide meals about once every 3 months to the foster families here at Heritage.
  2. Help provide supplies such as diapers, wipes, and formula to our foster families at Heritage.

Feed Fosters

On determined days each month we are able to provide for foster families.  Local restaurants provide the food and we get the privilege of serving these families.  The families pull up to the church parking lot and we are able to load their car for them.
